Installation

Bring it to us and we will fit it, or do it yourself. Pre-cut kits are made to be a DIY job, and installation is quoted on request.

Option one

We install it

If it is going on a boat you care about, or a machine with awkward curves and a lot of pieces, let us do it. We prep the surface, fit the kit and check every edge before it leaves.

  • Full boat decks, swim platforms and helm areas
  • Side-by-side floors, dashes and bed liners
  • Truck sidesteps, running boards and tailgate pads
  • Jet ski trays, rear steps and paddleboard decks
  • Templating when there is no pattern on file for your model

Installation quoted on request

It depends on the surface, how many pieces the job breaks into and how much prep the old surface needs. Send the details and we will tell you what it takes.

Option two

Do it yourself

Every pre-cut kit ships with an adhesive backing and is designed to go on without special tools. Take your time on the prep and it is a straightforward afternoon.

01

Clean it properly

Strip off any old pad or adhesive, then degrease. Isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth is the last wipe. Any wax, polish or silicone left behind is what makes a pad lift later.

02

Get the temperature right

Adhesive wants a warm, dry surface, roughly 60F and up. A cold morning or a damp deck is the single most common reason a install goes wrong.

03

Dry-fit before you peel

Lay every piece out and check the gaps and alignment first. Tape a hinge line if it helps. The adhesive grabs hard and does not want to be repositioned.

04

Peel back, do not pull off

Fold the liner back a few inches, set the leading edge where you want it, then work along the piece pressing as you go so you do not trap air.

05

Press it down hard

Firm pressure across the whole surface, edges especially. A roller or the heel of your hand. This is a pressure-sensitive adhesive, so pressure is what sets it.

06

Let it cure

Keep it dry and off the water for 24 hours before you use it. Full bond strength comes up over the first day or so.

What you need

Isopropyl alcohol, lint-free cloths, a tape measure, masking tape and something to press with. That is it. No heat gun, no primer, no special adhesive.

Either way

    Questions before you order?

If you are unsure whether to fit it yourself, ask. We would rather talk it through than have a kit go on wrong.
